Super Quick, Easy and Effective DIY Body Scrubs

by

A great body exfoliator is a wonderful boost – it sloughs away dead skin cells on the body, revealing fresh, youthful skin. It not only looks great, it feels refreshing and invigorating too! And making your own body scrub is super easy, inexpensive AND effective. Not to mention FUN!

One of my absolute favorites is this coffee and sugar DIY body scrub. Coffee not only wakes you up in the morning, it has the same effect on your skin! Coffee is also rich in antioxidants, while the sugar in this mixture works as an exfoliator that helps get rid of dead skin. The olive oil in this scrub penetrates deep into your skin, hydrating it and keeping it healthy.

Coffee and Sugar Body Scrub

You will need:

  • ¼ cup Ground Coffee
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 Vitamin E Capsules

Method:

  1. Combine all the ingredients until you get a coarse paste.
  2. Cleanse your skin and apply this paste onto it.
  3. Use your fingers to gently massage the mixture, in circular motions, on your skin.
  4. Take 5-10 minutes to gently massage and exfoliate your body, spending 1-2 minutes on each part.
  5. Wash the mixture off your body using lukewarm water.

You can use this body scrub around 2-3 times a week for smooth, glowing and radiantly youthful skin. Another of my favorites is an ultra-moisturising coconut oil body scrub. This scrub is not only an excellent exfoliator, it also cleanses your face, removes makeup, and gives a great moisture boost. It’s an inexpensive and easy-to-prepare treatment that will leave your skin feeling superbly soft and smooth with a beautiful glow.

Coconut Oil Body Scrub

You will need:

  • ¼ – ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cup Coconut Oil

Method:

  1. Combine the ingredients until you get a coarse paste. Do not heat the oil as this might cause the sugar to melt.
  2. Cleanse your skin and apply this paste onto it.
  3. Use your fingers to gently massage the mixture, in circular motions, on your skin.
  4. Take 5-10 minutes to gently massage and exfoliate your body, spending 1-2 minutes on each part.
  5. Wash the mixture off using lukewarm water.

Use this scrub as often as you like for fabulously radiant skin, all year round.
